Mumbai: First Phase Of Measles Vaccination Will Start In Maharashtra Tomorrow
Mumbai, 14th December 2022: There has been an outbreak of measles in 17 places in Maharashtra, and all efforts are being made by the state government to prevent measles. The first phase of the special vaccination campaign will be launched on 15th December in all the outbreak areas of the state as per instructions given by the State Action Force set up on the same background. In this phase, children deprived of vaccination will be identified and given the first dose of the MR1 vaccine.
The State Action Force has given instructions to emphasize vaccination to prevent measles in the state. Accordingly, the vaccination campaign will be sped up in the places of measles outbreaks in the state, including Mumbai. Children deprived of vaccination in outbreak areas will be vaccinated in two phases. The first phase will be implemented from the 15th to the 31st of December while the second phase will be implemented from the 15th to the 25th of January. To speed up vaccination, children who are deprived of vaccination in the state are being searched for.
