Mumbai: iNCOVACC Vaccine To Be Administered Only In Private Hospitals

Mumbai, 26th December 2022: Both CoviShield and Covaxin are given by injection. So, many were waiting for the iNCOVACC nasal vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech. Although the central government has approved the administration of this vaccine, which will be given in Nakawate, it will be available only in private hospitals. So citizens have to buy this vaccine. The cost of this vaccine has not been announced yet.

Bharat Biotech’s vaccine has been approved by the central government. Accordingly, this vaccine has also been made available on the CoWin app. But its price has not been announced yet. It has been clarified that this vaccine will not be available from the state government. Bharat Biotech’s vaccine will be available only in private hospitals, the state health service office has clarified. The iNCOVACC vaccine will be administered to citizens aged 18 years and above. Four drops of this vaccine should be instilled in both nostrils, the additional director of the health services office, Dr Nitin Ambedkar, has explained. As this vaccine will not be provided by the government, citizens will have to buy it.

Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine was approved for emergency use in September. This is the first vaccine in India to be given at Nakawatte. According to Bharat Biotech, the vaccine can be stored at a temperature of two to eight degrees Celsius for storage and distribution.
