Mumbai: Men and Women Agniveers of Indian Navy undergo attachment on frontline warships

Mumbai, 13th April 2023: Vice Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, FOC-in-C WNC, embarked on the Western Fleet on April 11 to review its preparedness. During his visit, he had the opportunity to interact with the Agniveers at sea and was delighted to note their enthusiasm and confidence.

Men and women Agniveers of the Indian Navy are currently undergoing training on frontline warships after passing out from INS Chilka on March 28. The young trainees are excited about serving the nation with pride and are being trained by experienced trainers, mentors, and counselors.
After the completion of the afloat phase of training, these Agniveers will undergo professional training at various schools of the Navy.

It is worth noting that Vice Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi is responsible for the Western Naval Command (WNC), one of the Indian Navy’s three primary operational commands. The WNC is responsible for safeguarding India’s western seaboard and ensuring the nation’s maritime security. Vice Admiral Tripathi’s visit to the Western Fleet is a testament to the Indian Navy’s readiness to protect the nation’s interests.
