Mumbai: Monthly Pass Of BEST At Rs 500 For Students Up To Post Graduation

Mumbai, 21st August 2022: BEST (Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport) has decided to give concessional passes to students studying up to postgraduate courses. At present, concessional bus passes are available only for students studying up to the 10th standard.

Accordingly, the BEST initiative said that a monthly pass of Rs.999 for 100 trips will be made available for the students at a discounted rate of Rs 500. On Thursday, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ordered the BEST administration to provide passes to students up to graduation at discounted rates during the inauguration ceremony of BEST’s double-decker bus.

According to the information provided as per the initiative, apart from the monthly bus pass, the quarterly bus pass will be available at Rs.1,500 and the half-yearly bus pass at Rs.2,500. Under this scheme, students studying up to the 12th standard will get a bus pass worth Rs.649 for 100 bus trips at a discounted rate of Rs.350.

The quarterly bus pass will cost Rs.1050 and the half-yearly bus pass will cost Rs.1750. This discount will be implemented from Monday (August 22). Students can also apply through BEST’s Chalo App or go to the nearest office and get a smart card. At present, concessional bus passes are available only for students studying up to the 10th standard.
