Mumbai Police Arrest Three Individuals for Sexually Abusing 14-Year-Old Girl

Mumbai, 30th May 2023: Three individuals have been arrested by the Kurar police for allegedly sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl. The accused have been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and a case has been registered against them. The victim has undergone a medical examination at Shatabdi Hospital.

Acting on the complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the Kurar police have invoked Sections 376, 376(4)(3) of the IPC, along with Sections 4, 6, 8, 12 of the POCSO Act, and apprehended the accused.

As per the victim’s mother’s complaint, the girl faced molestation incidents spanning from December 2022 to May 28, 2023. Two of the arrested individuals are brothers, who allegedly raped her in December 2022. Subsequently, the third accused assaulted her on May 28 after proposing a romantic relationship.

Following the victim’s medical examination, the accused were taken into custody.
