Mumbai: Salman Khan Enhances Home Security After April Shooting Outside Galaxy Apartments
Mumbai, 7th January 2025: More than eight months after the shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence, the actor has undertaken a comprehensive renovation to enhance the security of his home at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai.
Sources reveal that the windows of Salman Khan’s apartment are now bulletproof, and a sophisticated security system, including high-resolution CCTV cameras, has been installed to monitor any suspicious activity nearby. Bulletproof glass has also been added to strengthen the balcony from which the actor often greets his fans. Khan resides in a 1 BHK flat on the ground floor, while his parents live on the first floor.
On April 14, two individuals on a motorcycle fired four shots at Khan’s residence before fleeing the scene. The actor has informed the police that he suspects gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was behind the attack, which he believes was an attempt on his and his family’s lives.
Bishnoi, currently incarcerated, has a long-standing vendetta against Salman Khan, stemming from the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, for which Khan was convicted. The Bishnoi community holds Blackbucks sacred, and the gangster has repeatedly threatened Khan. The April 14 shooting marked a significant escalation in the ongoing feud.
The situation escalated further in October with the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in Mumbai. Siddique, aged 66, was known to have a close relationship with Salman Khan.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol, who is detained in the US, is a key suspect in the murder. According to Mumbai Police’s chargesheet, Siddique’s connection to Salman Khan was a significant motive for the crime.
