Mumbai, 9th April 2024: Ahead of Gudi Padwa 2024, the Mumbai Traffic Police has implemented traffic restrictions on various routes in South Bombay to manage the anticipated influx of celebrants. Gudi Padwa, marking the advent of spring and the Marathi New Year, is celebrated with great fervour, often accompanied by rallies and gatherings. To mitigate congestion, the following traffic measures have been instituted:

– RR Road, stretching from SVP Road junction to Saifee Hospital Building, will be closed for both traffic and parking. However, SVP Road will remain open for traffic.
– VP Road, from CP Tank Circle junction to Nityanand Hotel junction, will be closed for parking and traffic due to expected crowds. Commuters from Prarthana Samaj Junction can divert right towards SVP Road.
