Mumbai: Two Persons Dead In Fire At COVID Hospital

Mumbai, 26 March 2021: Two people died in a fire at a Covid-19 hospital in Mumbai. A private Covid hospital caught fire in the Bhanup area of Mumbai early Friday, killing at least two people. It is being told that 22 fire engines are present at the scene, and the work is being done to control the fire.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prashant Kadam, around 22 fire tenders reached the hospital to extinguish the flames. There were 76 Corona infected patients, in this hospital, located on the third floor of a mall. DCP Kadam told reporters that two people were killed in the incident. The fire broke out on the first floor of the mall at 12:30 pm.

Speaking about the incident, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that it is the first time that I have seen a hospital in a mall. It is a dire situation. Seven patients were on ventilators, and seventy patients have been taken to another hospital. There will be an investigation to find out the cause of the fire.
