Mumbai weather forecast: Cloudy skies and light showers expected

Mumbai, 2nd May 2023: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain in many parts of the country for the next five days. There are chances of light showers in some parts of Mumbai after noon. Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra may experience rain accompanied by gale force winds, hailstorms, and heavy rain. A yellow alert has been issued for several districts in these areas.

The weather department has predicted light to moderate rains in Central India, while heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected over the plains of North West India. Hailstorms are also likely in some states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan.

The coastal areas of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are expected to receive heavy rainfall on May 2, and Kerala and Tamil Nadu may experience heavy rain over the next four days. There are also chances of hailstorms in some parts of Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim.

The weather in the country is becoming unpredictable with occasional hot spells, cloudy days, and unseasonal rain. The public is advised to stay indoors and take precautions during heavy rainfall, especially in areas with yellow alerts.
