Panel Of Developers From Authorities For Stalled 517 Projects

Mumbai, 2nd November 2022: The Slum Rehabilitation Authority has decided to form a panel of developers to revive 517 stalled projects. The categories will be determined in three stages according to the capacity of the developers and the developers will be selected according to the size of the stalled projects. The developer in this category who will provide the authority with the maximum number of houses for the project affected will be selected as the final developer.

The then Housing Minister Jitendra Awad made strong efforts to restart the stalled projects in 2005. Accordingly, the authority prepared a list of 517 projects. Convinced that nothing more can happen in the existing project, the authority has started the process of appointing a new developer. A panel of developers will be formed in the next two months to start these projects early and ensure that the stranded slum dwellers get their rightful housing.
