Pune Metro Inaugurates Emergency Medical Room at Civil Court Station

Shivajinagar, 15th March 2024: Today, Pune Metro marked a significant milestone in passenger safety and well-being with the inauguration of an Emergency Medical Room at Civil Court Metro Station. In collaboration with Sancheti Hospital, this initiative aims to provide timely medical assistance to commuters in need.

The newly established medical facility is equipped with a team of medical practitioners, paramedical staff, and essential medicines to administer first aid promptly. In cases of emergencies requiring further treatment, duty doctors stationed at the medical room may recommend patients to seek medical attention at nearby hospitals.

To bolster emergency response capabilities, ambulance services will be readily available on call during metro operating hours at Civil Court Metro Station. These ambulances are equipped with essential medical equipment, including a portable stretcher and basic life support systems, accompanied by a paramedic to ensure immediate assistance.

Shravan Hardikar, MD of Maha Metro, expressed optimism about the initiative, highlighting its potential to enhance passenger safety and well-being. He emphasized that the Emergency Medical Room will serve as a vital resource for commuters at Civil Court Metro Station, offering them timely first aid and facilitating swift referrals to nearby hospitals when necessary.
