Pune: Mobile Towers Stolen In Pashan And Model Colony, FIRs Registered

Pune, 22nd April 2022: Two separate cases have been registered after it was reported that mobile towers have been stolen from Model Colony and Pashan.

Based on an order from a judicial magistrate, Chatushrungi police station has registered the case. Devendra Kumbhalkar (42), a manager at GTL company, has lodged the complaint.

According to the police, the company looks after the maintenance and repair work of the towers of the telecom companies. Mobile towers were erected at Survey No. 121 and Plot No. 2 at Pashan. This place was encroached upon. Mobile towers, batteries and other equipment worth Rs 20 lakh 19 thousand 759 were stolen. The incident took place in April 2021.

Similarly, a mobile tower, generator, and battery set, totally worth Rs 6.28 lakh was stolen from Kusalkar Niwas in Model Colony. The matter is being investigated by the police following a court order.
