Pune: TCS Talathi Recruitment Exam Faces Challenges: Bombay High Court Addresses Concerns

Pune, 12th March 2024: Pune: TCS recently conducted the Talathi recruitment exam, which faced objections regarding certain questions. Subsequently, a petition was filed in the Sambhajinagar Bench of the Bombay High Court challenging the handling of these objections. Following a hearing on February 13, the Bombay High Court issued an order to address the concerns raised in the petitioner’s statement.

The Talathi Recruitment Exam spanned 57 sessions from August 17, 2023, to September 14, 2023. Post-examination, TCS received objections concerning questions and answers between September 28, 2023, and October 8, 2023. A thorough re-examination of these objections resulted in the acceptance of 79 questions as correctly challenged by TCS. Consequently, alterations are being made to a total of 219 questions in the Q&A table, including their answer list, along with revisions to 39 question options. Students from the affected session will receive full marks for all 180 questions, reflecting the necessary corrections in their “Login” accounts.

The Land Records Department has published question-wise amendments on its website. This modification in the 219 questions has led to changes in the merit list. As a result, revised quality lists for all 36 districts are now being published. Additionally, some candidates’ results in the Talathi recruitment examination are temporarily withheld, and their district-wise lists will be released, as communicated in a letter by the State Examination Coordinator Sarita Narke.
