Pune University Sub-Centre In Nashik Would Create Future Torch-Bearers For Country: Uddhav Thackeray

Nashik, 17th June 2022: Stating that Nashik sub-centre of Savitribai Phule Pune University would impart variety training, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray said that this sub-centre would work for creating future torch-bearers for the country.

Chief Minister Thackeray was interacting during the foundation laying ceremony of the proposed building of the Nashik Sub-centre of the Savitribai Phule Pune University held today at Shivnai in Dindori Taluka of Nashik District. The Chief Minister participated in the program in an online manner. Union Minister of state for health and family welfare Dr Bharati Pawar, minister for food and civil supplies Chagan Bhujbal, minister for higher and technical education Uday Samant, vice-chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University Dr Karbhari Kale, pro-VC Dr Sanjeev Sonawane, registrar Dr Prafulla Pawar, Dindori tehsil officer Sandeep Aher, Shivnai village Sarpanch Sunanda Nimbalkar along with villagers, college staff and students were present in big numbers.

Recalling that the very foundation of education was laid by Mahatma Jotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule, chief minister Thackeray said that with changing times, latest technology is available and it is important as to how we utilise this technology for our progress. Stating that almost 1.5 lakh students would benefit because of Nashik Sub-centre, he said that we need to increase the number of these sub-centres so that education is taken to every household. Every student needs to have necessary education and there is a need to have information in a concerned field.

This sub-centre would convert this information in to knowledge. Saying that students are future of the country, he said that there is a need for all the elected representatives to come together and work unitedly for future of the students. He expressed confidence that state can march ahead towards path of progress if we all work unitedly keeping aside our political differences.
