Pune’s Shocking Murder Case: Wife, Lover, and Accomplice Arrested for Husband’s Killing

Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th March 2024: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Anti-Gunda Squad has apprehended three individuals in connection with a disturbing case involving the murder of Rahul Sudam Gadekar, husband of Supriya Rahul Gadekar. The arrested suspects have been identified as Supriya Rahul Gadekar, Suresh Motabhau Patole, and Rohidas Namdev Sonawane. The incident unfolded in Ambegaon Narhe, Pune.

According to police reports, Supriya Gadekar, initially employed as a nurse at Kashibai Navale Medical College & General Hospital in Ambegaon Narhe, ventured into establishing a laboratory in Ahmednagar’s Nimgaon village amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was during this time that she crossed paths with Suresh Patole, an army personnel, leading to a blossoming romance between the two. Their relationship stirred tensions between Supriya and her husband, Rahul Gadekar, who became an obstacle to their love. Consequently, a sinister plan to eliminate Rahul was devised.

In December 2023, while on vacation, Suresh Patole, accompanied by his relative Rohidas Sonawane, procured two iron hammers, awaiting the opportune moment to execute their plan. On February 10, 2024, Rahul Gadekar, visiting his wife in Nimgaon, narrowly survived an attempted attack by his spouse. Fearful and reluctant to return to work, Rahul’s wife persisted in her insistence on resuming her duties. Seizing a suitable opportunity on February 23, Supriya informed her lover about her husband’s impending commute to work. At approximately 10:30 PM, Rahul Gadekar was ambushed and fatally assaulted by Suresh Patole and his accomplice with a hammer as he rode his two-wheeler. Through meticulous technical analysis, the Anti-Gunda Squad, led by Police Inspector Harish Mane, apprehended the perpetrators.

Furthermore, investigations revealed that Rahul Gadekar had taken out a 1 crore insurance policy, of which Supriya stood to benefit. It was discovered that a portion of this sum was intended for Supriya’s boyfriend, Suresh, and his accomplice, Rohidas. Supriya Gadekar has been remanded in police custody until March 18, along with the other two suspects.
