Sridevi’s English Vinglish To Release In China On February 24 To Mark Her 5th Death Anniversary

Mumbai, 6th February 2023: On February 24, English Vinglish, the critically acclaimed and award-winning film starring the late Bollywood actress Sridevi, will release in 6,000 theatres on the Chinese mainland to mark Sridevi’s fifth death anniversary.

After a 15-year absence, Sridevi made her screen debut in this movie, which went on to represent India’s official submission for the Best Foreign Language Film category of the 2012 Academy Awards.

Eros International’s COO, Kumar Ahuja, said, “The second-largest cinema market in the world, China, is a competitive one, and Indian movies have progressively made headway there. At various international film festivals, the movie received critical acclaim on a global scale. Sridevi was also given the honorary title “Meryl Streep of India” for her outstanding performance in the movie.
