Thane: Controversial Statement by MLA Jitendra Awhad Sparks Legal Action in Bhayander

Bhayander, 7th January 2024: In a recent and contentious development, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Jitendra Awhad finds himself entangled in a legal battle, as a case has been filed against him at Bhayander’s Navghar Police Station. The complaint, lodged by the Bajrang Dal, alleges that Awhad made an offensive statement about Lord Ram, further intensifying the already charged atmosphere.

The controversy erupted when Jitendra Awhad made a statement claiming that Ram belongs to the Bahujan community and is a non-vegetarian. This assertion has triggered statewide outrage, with various groups expressing their displeasure and demanding legal repercussions against the MLA.
