Thane: House-Help Steals Jewellery Worth Rs 45 Lakh From Kalyan

Kalyan, 27th March 2023: Rs 45 lakh of jewellery in the welfare business was given by the owner to his trusted house-help to store in the bank. However, the house-help stole the jewellery and fled to his native village in Rajasthan. As soon as the complaint was lodged at the Mahatma Phule police station, a team of police was dispatched to Rajasthan to arrest the servant.

Naresh Kevalchand Shanklesha (51) lives in a complex near Kala Lake in Kalyan West. Ramesh Jhunjaram Dewasi (28), a resident of Rajasthan, has been working as a house-help for many years. He sees the transactions in the house, shop, and bank. The shop owner Naresh had asked Ramesh Dewasi to store jewellery on Saturday morning as usual in the bank. Ramesh left Naresh’s house with a bag. He ran away to his hometown in Rajasthan instead of going to the office, thinking that he didn’t need a job after receiving such a huge amount.

Even when owner Naresh reached the office, Ramesh was not found there. He was not found even after searching the bank. As Ramesh was not found in the house, shop area, or market, the owner guessed he ran away with a bag of money. He immediately lodged a complaint at the Mahatma Phule police station. Senior Police Inspector Ashok Vonmane immediately formed a special investigation team. and sent them to Ramesh’s native village. The police have kept a watch on the express trains going to Rajasthan.
