The arrests occurred on Monday night near an auto-rickshaw stand in Ratandale village, situated on the Mumbai-Agra highway.

During the raid, investigators seized a substantial array of items, including three knives, a hand bomb, two gelatin sticks, a detonator, a motorcycle, and a tempo. Interrogation revealed that the group had allegedly planned to murder a resident, a factory worker in Kalamgaon. The intended victim was accused of mistreating one of the suspect’s sisters after her husband’s demise.

The accused, aged 30, 33, and 40, hail from Bhiwandi in Thane and Bhandup in Mumbai. The group had reportedly acquired the weapons and explosives over the past two weeks intending to ambush the targeted individual during his journey back home from work.
