Women’s Premier League: Ban On Flying Drones Around Brabourne Stadium

Mumbai, 5th March 2023: The Women’s Premier League (WPL) started on Saturday, and some of the Women’s Premier League 2023 matches are being held at the Brabourne Stadium near Churchgate. The Mumbai Police has banned the flying of drones, small aircraft and any other objects in the stadium area during this match. Also, for safety reasons, the Mumbai Police has clarified that para-gliders, para-motors, hang gliders, UAVs, UASs, microlight aircraft, remote pilot aircraft, hot air balloons, and small power aircraft are not allowed.

The Women’s Premier League is likely to see several dignitaries at the Brabourne Stadium. Therefore, the security system here has been well-maintained. Kites, various types of balloons, drones, para-gliders, and remote control microlight aircraft have been banned within the limits of Marine Drive Police Station on March 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21 and 26. Mumbai Police has warned that legal action will be taken against those who violate these rules.
