Zoya Akhtar Announces Wrap Of ‘Archies’ Starring Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda
Mumbai, 19th December 2022: Today (December 19), the producers of “The Archies,” a live-action musical film by Zoya Akhtar, announced that the movie’s filming was complete.
The notification was posted by Netflix India on its official Twitter and Instagram accounts.
It read, “Grab your milkshakes and say Archiesssss, because filming just wrapped and we can’t wait to see the gang on-screen! (sic)” the streamer said in the post accompanied by a series of photos.”
The 1960s-set Netflix film is an Indian adaptation of the well-known American comic Archies Comics.
“The Archies,” termed as a coming-of-age tale set in the Anglo-Indian neighborhood of India, focuses on the lives of several well-known fictional characters, including Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and Reggie Mantle.
Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, and Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan all make their acting debuts in the movie.
According to Netflix, the movie’s production was completed on December 16 (Friday).
Akhtar and her longtime partner Reema Kagti are the producers of “The Archies” through their production company Tiger Baby, Graphic India, and Archie Comics.
