Prime Minister Modi To Inaugurate Pune Metro’s Ruby Hall Clinic To Ramwadi Stretch, Lay Foundation Stone For PCMC To Nigdi Route On March 6

Pune/New Delhi, 3rd March 2024: In a significant move towards bolstering urban connectivity and transportation infrastructure, the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate several key metro sections across different cities in the country. The inauguration ceremony will mark the completion and commencement of operations on multiple metro routes, contributing to the enhancement of public transportation systems.

 

The scheduled inaugurations include the Howrah Maidan- Esplanade Metro section, the Kavi Subhash – Hemanta Mukhopadhyay Metro section, and the Taratala – Majerhat Metro section, all integral parts of the Joka-Esplanade metro line in Kolkata. Additionally, the Pune Metro is set to see the launch of the Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi stretch, further expanding the city’s metro network.

 

In Kochi, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kochi Metro Rail Phase I Extension project (Phase IB), covering the stretch from SN Junction Metro station to Tripunithura Metro station. The extension is expected to improve connectivity and accessibility for residents along this corridor.

 

The Agra Metro will witness a significant development with the inauguration of the Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar stretch, contributing to the city’s efforts to modernize its public transportation infrastructure.

 

Furthermore, the Delhi-Meerut RRTS Corridor will witness progress with the inauguration of the Duhai-Modinagar (North) section. This marks a substantial milestone in the ambitious high-speed rail project, enhancing connectivity between Delhi and Meerut.

 

As part of the ceremony, the Prime Minister will also flag off train services on these inaugurated sections, symbolizing the commencement of regular operations for the benefit of commuters.

 

In addition to the inaugurations, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the extension of Pune Metro Rail’s Phase 1, covering the stretch between Pimpri Chinchwad Metro Station and Nigdi.
