1,264 Kg Of Adulterated Tea Powder Seized From Firm Operating Without License In Mumbai

Mumbai, 27th August 2022: On Thursday, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seized 1,264 kg of tea powder after raiding a firm named M/s Mohammad Ismail Chohan in Khajurwala Chambers, Narsi Natha. The action was taken after it was found out that tea powder was being manufactured without a license.

 

The colour of the tea powder was suspicious and it was being repackaged without following any hygiene rules.

 

Tea powder worth Rs.2 lakh 3 thousand 980 was seized during the action and four samples of tea powder have been sent to the laboratory for testing. Further action will be taken after receiving the report on the quality of the tea powder.

 

The FDA has launched a search operation against those selling such adulterated food during Ganeshotsav.
