Govindas Participating Janamashtami To Get Insurance Of Rs 10 Lakhs – Nitesh Rane
Mumbai, 5th August 2022: On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, BJP has made a big announcement in the state.
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has given the information through Twitter that by the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP will provide an insurance cover of Rs.10 lakh to Govindas who will participate in the festival.
Rane has appealed that Govinda teams should take advantage of this scheme and celebrate a safe Dahi Handi festival. On the occasion of Janmashtami, the Dahi Handi festival is celebrated on a large scale in the state and Mumbai.
As popular as this festival is, it also carries risks. Many Govindas have lost their lives till now by falling from heights during Dahi-Handi and many others have been permanently disabled. Due to the accident, the financial condition of many families is ruined. Considering these aspects, this plan is being implemented by BJP.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has already announced a public holiday in the state on the occasion of Dahi Handi.
According to the government circular, there will be a public holiday in the state on August 19, 2022. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the administration to take precautions so that there is no problem while celebrating the festival. The government has also launched a window scheme for Dahi-handi to get licences.
