Increase In Firing Incidents In Thane City

Thane, 27th October 2022: A few days ago in Thane, a gangster was killed by firing at two places. A security guard at Diva fired two bullets in the air on the day of Lakshmi Puja in a fit of excitement. His name is Kedarnath Rajbhar (66), and a case has been registered at Mumbra Police Station in this regard. The security guard has also been detained by the police.

On the day of Lakshmi Puja, a message was circulated on social media about the sound of firing in the Mumbra Colony area of Diva. The message stated that the shooting took place on a person’s birthday. Due to this, there was chaos in the area. Just a few days ago, in two places in Thane, one person was killed, and another was injured.

The person whose birthday it was and his acquaintances were interrogated. At that time, it became clear that there was no shooting at the birthday party. When the police again questioned the citizens in the area, it became clear that Kedarnath Rajbhar, a resident of the area, fired shots in the air. Later, when the police interrogated him, he confessed to having fired two bullets in the air at noon on the day of Lakshmi Puja. After that, the police took him into custody and also seized a licensed 12-bore gun from him.
