Maharashtra: BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad’s Private Bodyguard Opens Fire at Shiv Sena Ex-Corporator
Kalyan, 3rd February 2024: A shocking incident took place at the Kalyan city police station when the private bodyguard of BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad opened fire during a heated argument between workers of the BJP and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction). The altercation specifically involved a dispute between Ganpat Gaikwad and Shinde group’s Kalyan City Chief, Mahesh Gaikwad.
The gunfire erupted in the police inspector’s cabin, resulting in Mahesh Gaikwad being struck by two bullets. He has since been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The incident has led to the registration of a case against Ganpat Gaikwad, marking a tumultuous turn of events in the political landscape of Ulhasnagar.
The dispute escalated at Hill Line Police Station, where a confrontation between BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad and former Shinde group corporator Mahesh Gaikwad took a violent turn. The longstanding feud between the two prompted them to seek resolution at the police station, accompanied by activists and bodyguards.
However, the situation took a dark turn as a heated argument unfolded between Ganpat Gaikwad and Mahesh Gaikwad in the police station. In a shocking turn of events, Ganpat Gaikwad’s private bodyguard brandished a firearm and fired six shots, with two bullets hitting Mahesh Gaikwad and two hitting the bodyguard.
The brazen act occurred in the presence of the senior police inspector, adding to the gravity of the situation. Mahesh Gaikwad is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
