Mumbai: Child Abuse Alert: Wadala Police Nab Suspect in Sexual Assault on Four-Year-Old, Legal Action Initiated.

Wadala, 4th December 2023: The Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station apprehended a 23-year-old suspect in Wadala East for sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl. The accused now faces charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO). Concurrently, in a separate incident, the Kurar Police Station detained a 22-year-old individual in Malad East for the alleged sexual abuse of a seven-year-old boy. Charges have been filed against the latter as well, as authorities take swift action in both cases to address offences against minors.

Upon noticing that the girl was unaccompanied, the accused lured her to a factory where he subjected her to sexual assault. The victim’s mother, upon learning of the incident, promptly filed a complaint with the Wadala TT Police, leading to the registration of a case. Subsequently, on Saturday, the authorities arrested the 23-year-old accused from his residential area. The swift action by law enforcement reflects their commitment to addressing such heinous offences and ensuring justice for the victim and her family.

The victim girl received medical attention at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College in Sion after the accused, who happened to be an acquaintance, took advantage of their relationship and sexually assaulted her in a factory. In a separate incident, the Kurar police took swift action by arresting a 22-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old boy. Following the mother of the victim boy filing a complaint, the police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and promptly arrested the accused.
