Mumbai–Danapur One-Way Special Train on August 5; 20 Coaches to Run from CSMT
Mumbai, 2nd August 2026: Central Railway will operate a one-way special train from Mumbai CSMT to Danapur on August 5 following passenger demand, providing an additional rail service on the Mumbai–Bihar route.
Train No. 01081 CSMT–Danapur One-Way Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 12:30 am on August 5 and is scheduled to reach Danapur at 8 am the following day.
The special train will halt at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara.
Train composition
The train will comprise 20 coaches, including:
– 12 Sleeper Class coaches
– 6 General Second Class coaches
– 2 General Second Class-cum-Guard’s Brake Van coaches
Ticket bookings
Advance reservations for Train No. 01081 will open on August 3 at Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and through the official IRCTC website.
Passengers travelling in the unreserved coaches can purchase tickets through the UTS system. Railway authorities have also advised passengers to use the RailOne app for ticket bookings.
For detailed departure and arrival timings at intermediate stations, passengers can check the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the NTES app before travelling.
