Mumbai Man Accused Of Peeing On Passenger Responds To Allegations

Mumbai, 6th January 2023: The Mumbai man on the run after a police complaint was filed accusing him of peeing on an elderly fellow traveller on an Air India aircraft, Shankar Mishra, has spoken out. In a statement released on Friday, Mishra, who is reportedly the vice-president of the India Chapter of the American multinational financial services company Wells Fargo, claimed that the woman in the message had openly condoned the alleged behaviour and had shown no sign of wanting to file a complaint.

According to India Times, in a statement through his lawyers, Mishra said, “The WhatsApp messages between the accused and the lady clearly show that the accused had got the clothes and bags cleaned on 28th November 28 and the same was delivered on 30th November. The lady’s persisting grievance was only with respect to the adequate compensation being paid by the Airline for which she raised a subsequent complaint on 20th December 20 2022.”

According to the attorneys, the accused paid the compensation as agreed upon on Paytm on 28th November, but her daughter returned the funds almost a month later, on 19th December. The cabin crew’s testimony to the inquiry committee revealed that no one was an eyewitness to the incident, and all of the comments were based solely on hearsay.
