University officials stated that the third merit list has been prepared after considering the vacancies left unfilled following admissions under the second merit list. The list aims to ensure that available seats across colleges are allocated efficiently before the admission process moves to subsequent rounds, if required.

Students who receive seat allotments in this round have been advised to carefully read the admission guidelines issued by their respective colleges and complete all formalities within the specified deadline to avoid cancellation of their allotted seats.

With thousands of students competing for admission to Mumbai University’s prestigious colleges, the third merit list is expected to play a crucial role in filling the remaining undergraduate seats for the academic year 2026-27.
