Navi Mumbai: Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Three-Year-Old At Panvel Railway Station

Panvel, 3rd March 2023: A shocking incident has come to light where a three-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at Panvel railway station. As soon as the girl was reported missing, an immediate search was conducted, and after the girl was found unconscious, the police managed to nab the accused. However, in this way, the issue of the safety of girls or women sleeping at railway stations has come to the fore.

On Thursday, at around seven in the morning, a duo of parents informed the railway police that their three-year-old girl was missing since three-thirty in the night. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the search for the girl was started immediately. The girl was found unconscious on one side of platform no. She was admitted to a hospital. Given her condition, it was speculated that she had been sexually assaulted.

CCTV and technical investigations were started rapidly. As soon as the suspect was found at the Juinagar railway station during this speedy investigation, he was detained and interrogated by the police and he confessed to the crime. The accused has been arrested and identified as Mukesh Kumar Babu Kha. According to the information given by the accused to the police, the girl had woken up from her sleep in the middle of the night. The accused befriended her with sweet talk.

The accused earns his livelihood by collecting scrap items like bottles and selling them in the railway station area. Due to the immediate action taken by the police, the accused was nabbed within five hours after the case was registered.
