Swift Mumbai Fire Brigade Response Contains Blaze in Kurla West Commercial Property
Mumbai, 2nd March 2024: Today, the Mumbai Fire Brigade swiftly responded to a fire incident reported at 09:05 hrs in Kurla West. The incident, initially raised to Level-I by C P Control, occurred at a commercial property opposite Nexus Cinema near the Jarimari BEST Bus Stop on Andheri – Kurla Road, Sakinaka.
A fire broke out in a ground-plus-one structure, prompting the Mumbai Fire Brigade to classify it as a level 1 incident at 09:20 hrs. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
The blaze, confined to an area of around 15,000 square feet across two units, resulted in damage to electric wiring, installations, paper reels, machinery, garments, sewing machines, as well as various goods. Furthermore, the fire also impacted wooden doors, windows, and furniture within the premises.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire by 2:25 pm, effectively minimizing further damage to the property.
