Thane: Threatening Email to Israel Prayer Centre Traced to Europe, Mumbai Authorities Investigate
Thane, 30th December 2023: The recent threat email directed at an Israel prayer centre in Thane has been successfully traced back to a location in Europe, according to confirmation from Thane Police’s cyber cell. While the origin of the threatening email has been identified, further investigations are ongoing to gather additional details. Authorities are actively collaborating to ensure comprehensive information is obtained, and appropriate action is taken in response to the security threat.
On Thursday, the Gate Of Heaven Synagogue, a Jewish prayer center in Thane, Maharashtra, received a bomb threat via email. In response to the threat, security measures were immediately heightened, and the area around the shrine was cordoned off. The Naupada police station was notified of the bomb threat around 12:30, leading to the registration of a case under sections 505 and 506.
To enhance security for the New Year, Thane Police has implemented additional measures, and a dedicated manhunt is underway to apprehend the suspect responsible for the threat. Authorities are urging the public to report any relevant information to assist in the ongoing investigation.
