Threats To Attack Mumbai, System Alerted As NIA Receives E-Mail

Mumbai, 3rd February 2023: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has received an e-mail stating that people associated with the Taliban will attack Mumbai. The information about this attack has been given to the Mumbai Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad. The name of Afghan leader Sirajuddin Haqqani is also mentioned in this e-mail. The American system has pretended that the message came from the CIA. Therefore, the officials expressed the possibility that this is a hoax.

Officials said that the Mumbai Police has been informed of this matter and the Mumbai Police is investigating the matter. Sources said that the NIA had sent an e-mail to the Mumbai Police on Thursday and informed them about this. The e-mail impersonates a CIA official. Earlier, the Traffic Control Cell of Mumbai Police had received a message from a number in Pakistan that a terrible terrorist attack like 26/11 was about to take place. The control room of the Mumbai Traffic Police received a message from an unknown number. The message was sent from a mobile number in Somalia. In it, instructions were given to take precautions in line with the terrorist incidents that happened in their country. A person in Santa Cruz received a video call threatening to kill. Such incidents are putting stress on the security systems.
