“We Were Ready To Welcome The Chief Minister To The Shiv Sena Office But He Did Not Visit,” Says Former Mayor Kishori Pednekar

Mumbai 7th July 2022: On Wednesday, Former Mayor Kishori Pednekar expressed her displeasure over Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as he did not visit the party office during his visit to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

On Tuesday, CM Eknath Shinde visited the Mumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters for the first time after taking over as the Chief Minister. He then visited the Emergency Management Control Room at the Headquarters and took updates on the current situation in Mumbai. After that, he went directly to the BJP office without going to the Shiv Sena party office at the headquarters.

Former Mayor Kishori Pednekar said, “Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had visited the Mumbai Municipal Corporation headquarters on Tuesday. Then we were ready to welcome him to the Shiv Sena party office, but he did not visit the Shiv Sena party office. The Chief Minister repeatedly says that they are Shiv Sainiks, and we were waiting for him at the Shiv Sena office with a wreath, but after visiting the BJP office at the Municipal Corporation headquarters, he left.”

Talking to media, while she visited the emergency room at the headquarters, Pednekar said, “Even if there was no one in the Shiv Sena office to welcome him, there is an image of Shiv Sena chief, Chhatrapati Shivaji in the office, he could have come there and bowed down to show his respect.”
