Mumbai’s Commuting Upgrade: BEST Introduces 10 New Electric AC Buses on A-351 Route
Mumbai, 26th November 2023: In a bid to enhance the commuting experience for Mumbaikars, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport
(BEST) has expanded its bus fleet with the introduction of 10 new electric air-conditioned single-decker buses from the Mumbai Central depot. Operating under the designation ‘A-351,’ these buses now ply the Mumbai Central depot – Tata Power Bill Collection Centre route.
With a length of 12 meters, these buses offer air-conditioned comfort to passengers, and nominal fares will be charged for travel. The BEST buses have entered into a contract with Olectra to supply a total of 2,100 buses. As of now, 30 buses have been supplied, and the remaining buses are expected to be delivered soon, as confirmed by the BEST.
