All Postponed Exams Of Mumbai University To Restart On 6th February

Mumbai, 5th February 2023: The winter semester examinations of Mumbai University’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses were going on at various centres. But the examinations were suspended from 3rd February as the Maharashtra State University and College Sevak Joint Action Committee called an indefinite strike in all non-agricultural universities and affiliated colleges of the state for various demands of the non-teaching staff.

Now the Board of Examinations and Evaluation of Mumbai University has decided to conduct all these exams from 6th February as per the previously announced schedule. So the revised schedule of all the exams postponed on the 3rd and 4th of February will be released soon on the official website of Mumbai University.

Shivaji University and Mumbai University postponed the university examinations without giving prior notice to the government, even as discussions were going on with the Maharashtra State University and College Sevak Joint Action Committee. The Department of Higher and Technical Education had asked these two universities through a letter on 3rd February. According to the provisions of the Maharashtra Public University Act, 2016, it is the responsibility of the universities to examine within the prescribed time.
