Prepare Plan To Complete Pending SRA Projects: CM Uddhav Thackeray
Mumbai, 27 August 2021: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray directed MHADA and SRA to prepare a definite plan to expedite long pending slum rehabilitation projects in Mumbai. He chaired a meeting which reviewed work on slum rehabilitation schemes in Mumbai.
Chief Minister directed to take measures and finalize modus operandi to adopt various alternatives and measures in case of any delay from the developer or inability expressed on the part of the developer in completing pending slum rehabilitation scheme.
Rules regarding permanent transit camps needed to be compatible
Chief minister also directed to prepare compatible set of rules regarding permanent transit camps to provide relief to people.
The meeting also discussed measures to sort out issue like paying pending rent of residents who have become homeless due to SRA project, giving some concessions for completing projects, framing rules so that projects are completed in a time-bound manner and in stipulated time.
