Navi Mumbai Police Arrest Man For Alleged Conspiracy To Kill Salman Khan

Navi Mumbai, 17th October 2024: Navi Mumbai police have apprehended a man named Sukha, who is accused of conspiring to kill actor Salman Khan. He was arrested in Panipat, Haryana, and will be presented in court upon his transfer to Navi Mumbai.
Salman Khan has faced death threats for several years, primarily from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Last week, the gang reportedly shot dead senior politician Baba Siddique in Mumbai, allegedly as a warning to the actor due to their close relationship.
In response to these threats, Khan’s security has been elevated to the Y+ category following the murder. Reports indicate that his security detail will now include police escort vehicles accompanying him whenever he goes out. Additionally, he will have a specially trained constable to assist with his protection.
Khan’s personal security measures have also been intensified, with recommendations for him to avoid hosting visitors in the coming weeks. However, a close family friend of the actor mentioned that Salman has always welcomed friends and colleagues from the film industry, although the family is exercising greater caution now. The friend added that despite the ongoing threats, Salman remains committed to supporting Baba Siddique’s family.
Salim Khan, Salman’s father, has also been advised to take precautions during his daily morning walks in Bandra. The security at Salman’s farmhouse in Panvel has been enhanced, although he currently spends more time in Mumbai, as confirmed by Navi Mumbai police sources.
Baba Siddique was well-known not only for his political work but also for his strong friendships. He and Salman Khan had maintained a close bond for over two decades, with the actor frequently attending Siddique’s annual Iftar parties. Their friendship endured many challenges, making it difficult for Salman to come to terms with his friend’s passing.
Despite the direct threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Salman visited Siddique’s residence to express his condolences to the grieving family. Although he was in constant communication with Zeeshan, Baba Siddique’s son, regarding funeral arrangements, he did not stay at the house during this time. Arriving in a black car with heavy security, Salman was closely followed by a police vehicle. As he left the residence, he was seen in tears while navigating through a large crowd.
